PPC Upgrades

Just want to drop you a note saying that I'm very pleased with the upgrade you did on my old iPaq.
I feel like I'm "back in the business" with the amount of RAM I have now,
and on "top of the world" with the power of the two PGFs.
I'm taking a 30min walk to the office each morning, listening to mp3s on the iPaq
(from a 2Gb Datapak HDD - sucking some power itself).
Once in the office, both batteries still show 100%!!
Reader is back in the RAM next to all my other apps (+ the 2Mb dictionary)
and I still have 32Mb free!!

I am exceptionally pleased with the work

While I've been waiting for the Toshiba e740 and/or Fujitsu Pocket loox to hit the shelves in Michigan I found it necessary to beef up my Ipaq 3650. I sent my PDA to PocketPC Techs for the Battery/hyperdrive upgrade as a guinea pig kind of test. I got it back and I can tell you that there is no better quality, handling, nor service than at Pocket PC techs. They are fast, courteous, and professional. I will be sending it back to them for a Ram upgrade when I get my next PDA (e740 or Loox). Special thanks to Leonard Wesson at PPCTechs.....

"As a Marine who's returned to the Corps after being out for five years in response to September 11th, I packed up all my electronics, kissed my family good bye and headed off to work this threat to our way of life. Once I'd been overseas a few months, this assignment not only took its toll on the relationship with my wife & kids, but during one assignment it got to my iPAQ's screen as well.

I sat on the issue for a few months while I tried to find a solution on the web, but finally saw the pocketPCtechs ad in the back of PocketPC magazine.

I called them on the phone and asked how long the turnaround would be. They said they were backed up about three weeks before I should send it in. I told them no sweat since I was overseas and everything else seemed to take forever. When they found out I was in the military, though, they told me to send it straight away, and they'd get right to it. And they did.

I got emails regarding its receipt, their progress, its completion, and when it was mailed back to me. 

Everything was in perfect working order when I received it.

Hopefully I can do as good a job getting my home life back together when I return before the holidays.

I used pce2000.com when my screen got shattered. Their prices were reasonable (can't remember off the top of my head cause I also had to get a new battery...remember to always keep charging your battery periodically even if you don't use your ipaq), and their workmanship was perfect.

Wow, those defective/missing items you found are interesting. Several months ago I sent the iPAQ into Compaq, under warranty, to have both the stylus lock and the soft reset switch replaced because they stopped working. Those missing screws probably tell us something about Compaq service. The colors have always appeared OK.

WriteSHIELD

I want to commend you on the fantastic product you offer in your WriteSHIELD screen protectors.
I have used other brands and have found that they take away so much quality from the display.
After switching to the WriteSHIELD protectors on my Genio's 4" screen
I am able to truly enjoy the quality the display offers mostly due 
to the unique clarity your product offers.
Additionally, it is great that I can easily reapply (if needed)
your product without worrying about bubbles
or pulling on my touchscreen with overpowering adhesive.

You have spoiled me with your WriteSHIELD screen protectors.
I received a free one when I had my old iPaq 3600 hopped up by your techs,
and when eventually I upgraded to a 5400, I tried other screen protectors. They are lame.
I think the best thing about the WriteSHIELD is the satin finish - my stylus floats across the screen with zero drag. This is an improvement over the OEM screen,
and is a definite problem on every other too-soft screen protector I've tried.
Great product, well worth the cash...

I have used a number of different screen protectors on my iPAQ 3850 and now my iPAQ 5455
and I must say that the WriteShield far surpasses them all.
In addition to the protection that WriteShields offer,
they actually improve the feel of the screen when using a stylus.
Writing, playing Solitaire and highlighting text is much smoother with WriteShields.

It took me about 2 minutes to apply them to my T-Mobile PPC PE,

Finally, a product that is as good as it claims to be, not one of those "Your results may vary".
I received my Deluxe WriteShield kit yesterday, and it is great.
I was able to get the little grimy fingerprints off
and the WriteShield went on so easily and without any bubbles.
I still can't believe how great this worked.

I just received my screen protectors today. They are fantastic! I was able to achieve a 100 percent lint free installation with a minimum of hassle. Although they seem similar to the Brando screen protectors I've used before on my Clié, these offer superior clarity (almost like they're not there!) and the surface is a joy to write on!

My name is Dale and I am member of the Pocket PC Users group that meets in Santa Monica.
Last meeting I won a door prize and was lucky to receive a sample of the WriteShield protector cleaner.
This stuff is the coolest thing that has happened to my Ipaq 3850. 
It was very easy to install.
I no longer worry about scratches to my screen.
Believe it or not, my transcriber works so much better since I installed the shield.
The thing fits perfectly; no bubbles and no loss in screen visibility.
Best of all, I have misplaced my stylus a few times and I simply used a pencil or a pen without any problems.
I would strongly recommend this product to any one with a similar device.

These are excellent.

I just wanted to let you know that I have now received my 'Stylus Latch Upgrade
Kit' and am very happy with it.

I knew it came with instructions but was expecting a few 'dodgy' diagrams and a few lines of instructions.

How wrong was I!!
The instructions were superb, and the diagrams were excellent and made the whole process very easy.
I can only apologize for doubting you.

As for the rest of the kit, all the items seemed to be very good quality.
The disposable anti static strap was a very good idea.
And at last I now have a stylus latch which stops the stylus falling out.
I had considered sending it to Compaq but did not want to be without my iPaq for a week or more, 
and then the new Compaq one could have failed if the design is the same, your item is definitely much superior.
Fitting the kit probably took me less than 30 minutes and 40 minutes after that I had all my data & software reloaded.

Once again thanks for supplying such a high quality kit, keep up the good work.
